19:44 Pete Cashmore: Google Buzz Surpasses 9 Million Posts and Comments - http://bit.ly/cxnOs7
19:46 Peter Lane: Nice
19:46 Daniel Snider: wow! at this rate it'll surpass 10 billion posts before apple reach the same amount of song DL's. And they are very close lol. Probably not though, really.
19:47 George Gorman: where did you get the 9million from Pete? who from google released that? im trying to find data on the hr by hr data storage required for google buzz which i think would be exponential!
I think its the noise feeds, friendfeed, twitter and google reader that is contributing to the sheer number... im following a lot for my citizen journalist site iseeireportnews.ning.com and my screen just looks like a matrix like screen data flashing past1 too many feeds of noise!
19:47 Shawn Pons: Good start... I'm surprised they left out some glaring features (IMO), such as updating facebook and twitter through Google Buzz... It would also be nice to see those feeds in here as well for more than just the people that are part of Google Buzz.
19:49 Will Sloan: See!! Google Buzz is happening! Follow me! Let's connect!
19:49 terence chan: is that a lot? how does that compare to twitter now?
19:49 George Gorman: :-)
19:50 Christopher Wilke: The buzz is just going to get better and bigger!Rarely used the wave and cant stay away from the Buzz
19:50 Daniel Snider: @terence chan I'm wondering the same
19:51 Nélio D. Vieira: Awesome support from Google!!! Nice.
19:51 Rob Franz: This should make the transition to Wave pretty smooth :-)
19:51 Arniel Amador: I knew it!! That the question I had how many buzzers are there lol
19:52 Daniel Snider: @George Gorman found it http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/millions-of-buzz-users-and-improvements.html
19:52 terence chan: @daniel yes, we need a comparison to better assess the buzz with buzz
19:52 Rob Franz: @Nélio D. Vieira - support from Google? Surely you jest.
19:53 ralph kooi: its not as fast and easy as they made you believe in the video....or is that just me?
Curious to see what happens with it and stacks up against FB and the likes...
19:53 Philip Arnason: George Gorman, that 9million number was released by google themselves: http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/millions-of-buzz-users-and-improvements.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+OfficialGmailBlog+(Gmail+Blog)&utm_content=Google+Reader
19:55 Glenn K. Bolton: Pretty amazing. I guess buying a Nexus One and "going Google" will do me well. Good show on Leporte the other day too.
19:55 Leonid Knyshov: Once you bring it into the website backchannels, it's really game over for others. I am loving the product.
19:55 terence chan: im happy though with the quickness of the new changes. means google ppl are really focusing on this
19:56 George Gorman: thx Philip
19:56 Sam Kinkel: WOW!
19:56 Arniel Amador: Yep I wounder if google know this would get so big so quick. I wounder how many post facebook got in its first 2 days.
19:57 Toper Nic: yeah, but wasn't about 3 million his?
19:58 Glenn Malarkey: I'm surprised even though I shouldn't be. I wonder how this compares to MySpace, Twitter and Facebook did in their opening days.
20:00 Robert Mao: I am wondering if Google will consider to add OpenSocial into the Buzz, if so it will become Facebook's worst nightmare.
20:00 Jehad Affoneh: That's a very interesting statistic! 9 million comments and posts is a HUGE number even for Google in such a short time. They need to start improving it really well and they will get a very good social network. It seems that google might be moving into the social network space really rapidly. Let's just hope they don't make the same mistakes they made with Orkut
20:03 Alessandro Pistilli: Good news! Not surprised by numbers but the fixes made so quickly.
This means big room for improvements!
20:06 Paul Woodhouse: What % was Scoble?
20:12 JC Bailey: So Why didn't Google just announce that Google Buzz was a combination of Wave + Reader?
20:14 Anthony De Rosa: There needs to be an easy way to share buzz posts to Twitter and Tumblr.
20:15 Kaz Nakamura: It'll be interesting to see how people use buzz, after the buzz about buzz wanes ... a lot of the traffic must be related to the initial response, no?
20:15 Chris Martinez: I guess Buzz took off! Its also good to see them refining the service so quickly.
20:23 Wesley Soccer: Why does it take so long for my twitter feeds to arrive in buzz and my profile page....ANYONE?
20:23 Wessie Emmert: 9 million! That's over 9000!! okay I just had to, you can't say you didnt see that coming
20:25 Charlie McRae: wtf
20:26 cristian contini: Eat google: nine million buzz can't be wrong
20:26 Paul Ogle: I wish I could see my own stats. Probably in the hundreds by now
20:28 Dave Kim: The transition is only made simpler because everyone's already been trained through, Twitter & Facebook. It's now a race to see who will lead the ubiquitous micro-blog.
20:29 Bryan Viers: Don't forget that a lot of people immediately connected their blog and twitter at the very least to google buzz. That most likely has a lot to do with the amount of posts they've seen already. People are still tweeting and blogging as much as always and now they are also buzzing about other people's updates as well.
20:30 David Sanger: The BIG question is how long to 100 million users? faster than Twitter?
20:31 Sam Kinkel: @David Sanger Google already has the users, its just a question of whether or not they'll all use Buzz.
20:32 Tom S.: Good god, y'all! That was fast! In only about 2 to 3 days? Daamn
20:36 m. ahisashimi: feels like being right at the beginning of a buzzing new social movement!
20:36 Andrew Hideg: I definitely think they need to let us at least have the option on how we want comments displayed. I'd like to have all comments initially hidden and then be able to expand them at my own will, so I can scroll through posts quickly. Having to scroll through a page and a half of comments to get to the next post is rather irritating. My hopes are high that they will address this issue, since it seems to be a common complaint.
20:37 Kurt Felton: Great to see Buzz taking off! Seems to be doing way better then wave.
20:38 Alan Calvert: 8 million of those through mashable :-)
20:39 Edward Oneill: And no one will read 8,999,090 of them, because the layout is so poor.
20:39 Andrew Hideg: Also, can we PLEASE turn off the e-mail notifications?? Ugh.
20:39 m. ahisashimi: @google how legit is that number "9Mil" anyway and why is it taking you so long to release "wave"? after all email is such an ancient way to communicate!!!
20:40 Scott Patton: I think Buzz is sort of a good idea, but they need to integrate other things better - I mean, why do I want to go to all these different places? If Digsby can fully integrate FB and Twitter, why cant google?
20:41 MohammadYuri MY: go Buzzy go!
20:41 Cedric D: I like Google Buzz, but it would be nice if it had threaded comments -- any one else? Also, is there a 'official' google buzz user?
20:42 Peachanan Rojwongsuriya: @Alan Calvert Totally agree with you there.

@Andrew Hideg you can filter them.
20:42 Hsin Cavanaugh: That is really fast... It's really buzzing... :)
20:43 Rob Franz: @Cedric D - threaded comments like you say or ability to collapse a thread. once i expand the comment list, i can't collapse it.
20:43 Adam Buscovic: While google gets in the social network rapidly, facebook is thinking about offering users a facebook mail service. They would be bigger than gmail. This is war!
20:44 Paul Woodhouse: "Also, is there a 'official' google buzz user?"

Yes, on twitter...;)
20:44 Cedric D: @Paul - Well then :P
20:45 m. ahisashimi: #google#buzz are yahoo users outcast?
20:46 Neil Vig: I'm not sure if I'm liking Buzz. This Mashable Buzz seems to be just like an RSS reader. I just read all these item via Google Reader. Is there a way to hide all the comments? That is rather annoying. So far, I'm using Buzz to make notes for myself.
20:49 Kevin Povondra: 160,000 comments and posts per hour. That is crazy.
20:55 Jonathon Pyles: Can't think of an insightful comment, so I'll just add one to pad google's numbers.
